Live Brief opportunity
I've been approached by a friend whos' seen some of the illustrations for my Anthology Booklet and really wants me to do one in the same style of her. She said she'd be willing to pay me for my trouble so that might be something of a time killer and a quick £20 to boot.

Live Brief opportunity
I got approached by a gentleman by the name of Matt Grimwood, owner of Lazurus Films about producing the promotional material for his short film "Toshi" which was to be shown at the Palm Springs Film festival. Unfortunately, I just won't have the time during this FMP to do it, but he has expressed an interest in working together in the future on rebranding his company. A great opportunity.

Looking at potential agencies in Gloucester for summer work

Live Brief opportunity
My girlfriends' step brother is after some business cards and letterheads done for his carpentry business. He said he's bit strapped for cash at the minute but sometime during the summer the brief should be a goer.

Crimes of Passion Exhibition
While I was in Bristol I wanted to try and get a feel for the illustration and art scene in the area so I took the opportunity to visit the 'Crimes of Passion Exhibition', To quote the website: "50 of Bristol's best known and most successful graffiti and street artists invade the citie's oldest and grandest gallery, The Royal West of England Academy".
I discovered that the city has a rich history in illustration and a flourishing art scene. Really inspiring stuff.

Contacting Andy at Agripix
I need to get some work over the summer to pay for any move to Bristol so my first point of call is with Agripix, the company I did my my work experience with. When I finished working with them last summer they did offer me a job at the time but unfortunately 'things are a lot quieter' at the company recently- no doubt due to the economic climate.

Visit to Bristol
I recently took a trip down to Bristol to get a feel for the city and find out what the housing prices and areas are like. I visited a number of estate agents and they advised me that the cheapest area to look at is probably Bedminster but I might also want to look at Hotwells, Monpellier and Gloucester Road. I discovered that the majority of the Art scene in Bristol is based around the Clifton Area and I went to have a look around. It's certainly a nice area and not to far from the center. The only problem is the house prices around here are somewhat pricey.

New Website Live!
I've spent the best part of a week setting up my new website and I'm please to announce it's just gone live. I found that my old website was just too difficult to update on a regular basis. Because it was made on iWeb, every time I wanted to change something meant re-uploading the entire site and hence it rarely got changed.. Recently I came across a genius piece of software called indexhibit which allows you to basically update your website from anywhere without the need for an FTP. I thought It would be a good idea to get my site properly running before anything else so I can use it as a hub that can be constantly updated and show off my work to potential employers.
